ENHANCE YOUR LIFE THROUGH THE PRACTICE OF YOGA
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I'm Emma, an in-home private yoga instructor in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area. I'm serving my community by offering convenient and consistent yoga classes to my students, whether in a studio, at their workplace, an event, or the comfort of their home.

I began practicing yoga in 2018, slightly by accident. One of my best friends brought me to a hot yoga class, and my first impression was not that great - I was uncomfortable, sweaty, and self-conscious compared to the other students who moved through poses with such grace. Fast forward a few months, I somehow found myself in another hot yoga class, and not by accident this time. I'm really not sure what drew me back to give it another shot, but I accepted it as a sign, stepped on my mat with confidence, and haven't looked back ever since. I had a much more positive experience and began practicing yoga frequently while finishing up my final year of college. I fell so in love with the practice that I decided to complete my 200-hour training while going to school full time, writing an honors thesis, and working part time. Thank goodness I did! That leap of faith guided me down a path of mindfulness, discipline, and self-love I'm not sure I would have found otherwise. I became hungry for more knowledge, and after a few years' of teaching experience I took off to northern India to complete another 300-hour training course. Here I learned in depth about the Ayurvedic and yogic lifestyle, the many lineages of this ancient practice, and met friends from all over the world. I hope to make it back to India soon! Since then, I have continued my education by completing a prenatal yoga course, trauma informed yoga certification, and attending workshops. I enjoy being a student and am always hungry to learn more. Since 2018, I have accrued over 1,000 hours of teaching experience, from studio classes and private lessons, to workshops and events, to teacher training courses and retreats. I am certified in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga, and my teaching style is heavily influenced by Ashtanga yoga. I want my students to feel good on their mat, learn something new, and improve their quality of life.

As your yoga instructor, I will create lessons to fit your specific needs, goals, and schedule. I offer private yoga lessons at home, yoga for athletes, prenatal yoga, corporate events, and retreats. I believe yoga is for everyBODY and want to make this practice accessible and approachable for all.
